Join us for a unique insider’s view of how world class musicians prepare for a performance. Observe internationally-acclaimed conductor Franz Vote at work with the New Mexico Bach Chorale!
Our March 9, 2014 performance of Bach's Easter Oratorio and arias from the St. Matthew Passion at the Santa Fe Opera will take place at a later date. Prior to that, the New Mexico Bach Society's Easter Oratorio Project will provide several opportunities for you to hear and get to know the music.
The New Mexico Bach Society's first-ever open rehearsal of the Bach, Easter Oratorio with Maestro Vote and the New Mexico Bach Chorale takes place on March 9 from 2-5 in the afternoon. The rehearsal is free of charge, and all are welcome.
The Easter Oratorio Project continues at a reception hosted by Peter Merill and Ruth Wallack in their lovely home on Saturday evening, May 10, 2014 from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. The evening's event offers a mix of Bach and popular classics, a chance to tour Peter's amazing arts collections, food and drink, dessert and coffee.
